Here's how to carve your turkey like the pros do.
- Let the turkey cool down for about 20 minutes after you remove it from the oven.
- Separate the legs from the turkey—pull the legs away from the turkey and cut at the joint.
- Remove the thigh, which is part of the leg.
- Using a fork, hold turkey while you slice through the wing joints and remove wings.
- Make a slice down the center of the turkey, next to the breastbone, to start removing the white meat.
- Remove the entire side of a breast and place it on a carving board.
- Remove the other side of the breast.
- Remove the skin as desired and begin slicing the breast meat.
- Prepare the meat on your serving platter and garnish.
