Another installment in our series on Irish blogs.

Food will always get my attention. Last time, you might recall, we visited rashersandeggs.com, home of the 24-hour Irish breakfast.
Rashersandeggs is a bit silly, but in ways that I like. Eat Drink Live has its silly moments, but it’s mostly a serious and well-written and -researched (suspensive hyphenation rears its ugly head) blog written by Laura Boland, a self-described “former archaeology student turned baker, who now tries to ply the people of Limerick with muffins and other baked goods.”
You have to love any blogger whose tagline draws on the wisdom of Kate Hepburn: "What you see before you, my friend, is the result of a lifetime of chocolate.”
Eat Drink Live dates back to just February 2007, but, like all the best bloggers, Boland writes well and often. For example:
“Let it never be said that I don't play my part in pumping the little monsters and ghouls of Limerick full of sugar. Tonight is the beginning of the Celtic new year when the gods can roam freely in our world playing as many tricks as they see fit on us unsuspecting humans. Not much has changed then in the last few millenia. Whether eggs would have been their trick of choice is debatable but perhaps I can offer a marzipan pumpkin as some protection.”
Boland loves what she does. (So do we!) And her photos are mouth-watering, too.
Here’s hoping Eat Drink Live keeps on cooking.
