If you subscribe to Mickmail—our free weekly e-mail—you already know what’s in it: links to concert and CD reviews, Irish recipes, genealogy tips, cool Irish Web sites, local Irish news and information, Gaelic sports scores, photo essays and videos … all this, plus “How to Be Irish in  Philadelphia,” without which no self-respecting Irish person can be considered truly well-informed.

Our subscriber list is growing by leaps and bounds—but we’d like to make it even leapier and boundier.

So, we’re launching another contest. The prize: a pretty woven hamper stuffed with Irish delectables, including Bewley’s Irish tea, Cadbury Flake chocolate miniatures, Oatfield Emerald caramels, a cute little tea cake, and more.

Just the thing to help you celebrate the holidays, Celtic-style! (Note: The folks at FoodIreland.com, who sell the basket, say they might substitute other treats, depending on available. But trust us, it’ll all be good.)

The rules:

If you already subscribe to Mickmail, pass it along to your friends. (Note: You must click on the “Send Mickmail to a Friend” link at the bottom of every Mickmail; otherwise, we have no way to know you forwarded it.)

If you don’t subscribe to Mickmail yet, sign up! You can subscribe by typing your e-mail address in the sign-up box, which you can find at the top right of every page on our Web site. There’s also a “Join Our Mailing List” link in the left column of every Mickmail. And now you can choose to receive Mickmail in its entirety, or the weekly events listing e-mail, which just includes the “How to Be Irish in Philadelphia” events planner.

On Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007, we will select a winner and two runners-up from the list of Mickmail passer-alongers and new subscribers. Just to make sure everyone has a sporting chance, we will automatically include in the contest anyone who has forwarded Mickmail or subscribed to Mickmail so far this month.

We will send notify the winner by e-mail by Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007. The winner must respond no later than Sunday, Dec. 16, 2007, at noon (Eastern Time). After that, the prize will revert to the first runner-up (and from there, to the third runner-up).

Note that we do not collect any information about you except your e-mail address, and we do not share your e-mail address with anyone else. We will only send you the e-mails you subscribe to. We have a strict no-spam policy. You can also unsubscribe any time.
