The first tune was written by Philadelphia fiddler and composer Ed Reavy as a tribute to the great Eugene O'Donnell. The second is Reavy's arrangement of the old standby. The tunes were performed January 19, 2008, at an Ed Reavy Tribute Concert at the Philadelphia Irish Center, presented by the Philadelphia Ceili Group. Performing were fiddler Jim Eagan, bodhran player Myron Bretholz, banjo player Peter Fitzgerald, and guitarist Andy Thurston.
