Philadelphia Irish musician Ed Reavy was world-renowned for his hornpipes. Here are two performed at an Ed Reavy tribute concert sponsored by the Philadelphia Ceili Group Saturday, January, 19, 2008, at the Philadelphia Irish Center. Performing were fiddler Jim Eagan, bodhran player Myron Bretholz, banjo player Peter Fitzgerald, and guitarist Andy Thurston. This track (and all tracks in this series) was recorded with the artists' very kind permission. If you want to hear the same set, sounding much better, track down Eagan's CD, "At Reavy's House:"

(Also, you'll hear Myron chatting with Dennis Gormley and Kathy DeAngelo of McDermott's Handy. They were sitting in front of the teeny-tiny stage, so every time one of the musicians needed to swap instruments, Kathy and Dennis got up and found it, prompting Myron to promise to return the favor at a McDermott's Handy concert.)
